My project “mature women”

My photography is committed, joyful, enthusiastic, authentic, always ready for creativity, full of passion, and always as natural as possible. I'm not a fan of a thousand filters – I want to capture the individuality that we all are, authentically and full of energy! I want to show YOU! From 0 to 100+

The increasing number of cosmetic procedures performed by women – unfortunately, often very young women – has given me much to think about. I find it unbelievable how social media is used, how much fakery and "lies" are conveyed through models who are sometimes edited beyond recognition, creating a false impression.

With my photography, I want to show how beautiful, natural, unique, and individual we are – completely without cosmetic surgery. I want to show the individuals, I want to show the woman who gives up her body to bear children, who may have been pregnant several times and whose body has therefore endured great strain – and yet still functions.

I want to photograph women who have had a C-section and now bear the scars, who have had surgeries, who may also have been ill. As a woman approaching 60, I also want to have women of this age (and older) in front of my camera – I want to encourage them to show themselves. To embrace the aging process, to enjoy their unique laugh lines, to love a few extra pounds, and to see their wrinkled skin as a sign of wisdom…

The aim of this project was and is to find a public exhibition space where I can exhibit and present the paintings on canvas (40x60cm). Unfortunately, this is proving very difficult (at least in Switzerland). However, I hope that with the publication of this special edition, a gallery owner or art lover will have the courage to offer me this platform, thus bringing the subject even more into the public eye.
